    Intro to AI Governance

Claude, Copilot or both: let your team use AI with confidence. Know the risks, set the rules, keep it owned. First sessions early 2027.

    • Level: Advanced
    • Duration: 2h 30m

Online or in person · Covers Claude, Microsoft 365 Copilot

    About this course

Your people are probably already using AI, whether or not there's a policy for it. This session gives managers and leaders a practical starting point for governing it: the risks that matter, what to decide about data and tools, who owns what, and how to keep oversight without slowing everyone down.

It covers the two assistants most organisations are choosing between, Claude and Microsoft 365 Copilot: where each keeps your data, what admins control, and how one set of rules can cover both. You'll leave with a first draft of the rules for your own team.

    You'll learn how to

    • Know the main risks of using AI at work, and which ones matter most for your organisation
    • Decide what information can go into which tools
    • Compare Claude and Microsoft 365 Copilot on data, admin controls and sharing, and govern both with one set of rules
    • Approve, and keep track of, the AI tools and skills your team uses
    • Decide who should own what, and keep oversight light
    • Understand what current Australian guidance expects of organisations that use AI

    Who it's for

Managers, team leads, and anyone responsible for how their organisation uses AI, whether that's Claude, Copilot or both. No technical background needed. A good companion to any of our Claude courses.

Prerequisites: None. It's an advanced course because it's for people who decide how their organisation uses AI. You don't need to have done our other courses. Bring a laptop and, if your organisation has an AI policy, a copy of it (nothing confidential is needed).
