The way we get work done has changed due to the global pandemic. Today, we have more remote and distributed teams, working from home or other locations outside head offices that organisations have.

Of course, with any change comes some challenges.

A report from the United Nations International Labour Organization found that while employees are more productive when they work outside of the conventional office, they're also more vulnerable to working longer hours, a more intense work pace, work-home interference, and, in some cases, greater stress.

Here at Interfuze, our team is passionate about productivity, visibility and collaboration within an organisation. Having these foundations in place help to create an agile work methodology, delivering early and continuous value.

If you are using Atlassian software - in particular Confluence and Trello - then we have some good news. Recent upgrades to these work productivity and collaboration tools have focused on helping organisations adapt to hybrid and remote work environments.

Our team of Atlassian enthusiasts and experts are excited to share some of these upgrades that can make it easier and quicker for important information to reach all teams and provide them with new views into work and projects.

New Confluence Features to check out

  • Page insights: New insights are available on the top of each Confluence page with info on total page views and estimated reading time. This will assist - at a glance - team members to see which pages are top priority and they should read!
  • Bulk content management: content managers, you can now archive, move, label, delete and export multiple pages in one click. This makes it easier for all team members to find the most up-to-date information.
  • Smart links: team members are now able to view important information from external sources without ever leaving their Confluence page! This reduces the click, after click and more clicks to move from the central page and back.
  • Simultaneous feedback: incorporate feedback while pages are being built by viewing, creating, liking and resolving inline comments in edit mode. This allows the team to give feedback and collaborate on projects in real time, without the face to face interaction.

Trello features for collaboration and communication

  • Advanced checklist:  When creating a checklist item, quickly add members and due dates that will then appear in your Calendar view, as well as in the Your Items tab on your Trello Home screen.
  • Team table view: This function gives visibility into the work happening across projects, individuals, and teams in an easy-to-read and simple-to-alter table format.
